Vincent Shen Memorial Scholarship in Chinese Thought and Culture

The Department of East Asian Studies invites applications from graduate students whose work focuses on Chinese thought and culture for a new scholarship created through the generosity of three friends of the university in memory of Professor Vincent Shen.

Applications for the Vincent Shen Memorial Scholarship in Chinese Thought and Culture will be considered from students in the Departments of Philosophy and East Asian Studies. The scholarship will be awarded to one or more graduate student(s) on the basis of academic merit. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply.

  • One-page summary of your research project
  • Writing sample (a chapter, a course paper, etc.)
