The Reverend Doctor James Scarth Gale Scholarship in East Asian Studies was established thanks to a gift from the estate of George J.M. Gale.
The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit to an undergraduate or graduate student, in support of his or her study or research in East Asian countries (China, Japan, Korea, etc.)

Your application must include:
- A cover letter
- Your study or research plan
- Your ACORN academic history
- A letter of recommendation from your supervisor or instructor in the course related to your study/research plan. This letter should be emailed directly by your referee to the appropriate email address listed above
