Biography : 

Mark Lush is a PhD student of modern Chinese history at the Department of East Asian Studies. Having lived and studied in China for several years prior to beginning his graduate studies, he became interested in researching the history of the People's Republic of China through conversations with friends and colleagues about the meaning and legacy of the Mao era.
