Symposium: How We Write
The EAS Department is excited to announce the upcoming symposium entitled “How We Write,” aimed at sparking discussion about something we all do but seldom talk about doing, in our roles as intellectuals, educators and communicators. It will be a two-day event, on April 16 and 17, and will be structured around topic-driven roundtables such as “Who Do We Write For?”, “How Do We Write?” and “Writing Across Languages.” To maximize dialogue and discussion, there will be no giving of papers and keynote speeches, but there will be ample tea/coffee breaks to let the conversations expand organically. On the morning of April 17, there will be a writing workshop designed for graduate students organized by the EASGSU (by prior registration only).
The symposium runs from 9:45am-5:30pm on both days and will be held in the EAS Lounge, RL 14-100. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Please fill out the RSVP form by March 27, 2020 to ensure we have accurate numbers for food: http://bit.ly/HowWeWrite.
A detailed agenda with round-table participants will be posted in late March. For questions and concerns, please contact Rebecca Mangra at firstname.lastname@example.org.
