Okamatsu Japanese Book Award

The Okamatsu Japanese Book Award was established thanks to a gift from Mr. Yoshihisa Okamatsu.

It is awarded to a graduate or undergraduate student in the Department of East Asian Studies who specializes in Japanese Studies. This award is given for the purchase of books for Japanese Studies.

To apply, please submit your application in an envelope with your name and the fellowship to which you are applying to the Department by April 1, 2014. Your application must include:

  • A cover letter (please indicate your interest in Japanese Studies, extra-curricular activities, and other information which could assist us in evaluating applications)
  • A printout of your ROSI academic history
