Biography

Qiang Fu is a student interested in the politics and culture of 20th century China. In particular, she is interested in the beliefs and practices of education reform and its fate in modern and contemporary China. Qiang is currently preparing a PhD project on the history of radicalism and its influence on China's education reform in the 20th century. Beyond her current project on violence, Qiang is also interested in the relationship between labour and culture in the Mao and post-Mao era, the mass politics of socialist working places, and the labour policy and local worker struggles in contemporary China.
