The 37th Annual Canadian National Japanese Speech Contest was held at the University of Alberta on Sunday, March 29, 2026. We are delighted to share that three of our current students and one University of Toronto alumnus were invited to present their speeches at the national contest after earning top awards at the 44th Ontario Japanese Speech Contest.
Jinnie Lee (EAS152H1S) earned first place in the Beginners Category, while Jeff Guo (Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, alumnus) and Hyerim Song (EAS453H1S) received second place in the Intermediate and Advanced categories, respectively.
