Ross H. Macdonald Scholarship

The Ross H. Macdonald Scholarship is awarded to a third or fourth year undergraduate student, enrolled in a program offered by the Department of East Asian Studies, for language study in Chinese, Japanese or Korean.

How to Apply

Please submit your application by email to the EAS Undergraduate and Graduate Assistant.

Application deadline: April 1 of each year

Your application must include:

  • A cover letter that includes your student number, your EAS program, and outlines your intended plans for study in Chinese, Japanese or Korean languages. The relationship of this language study to your future acadmic goals should be clearly described. 
  • One letter of reference from a faculty member who is aware of and supports your future plans. This letter should be emailed directly by your referee to the appropriate email address listed above
