English Language Communication

The English Language Learning (ELL) Programimage_preview
For multilingual students who need support on English communication, the ELL program is a good place to practice English skills and meet with new people.

The ELL Communication Café offers a series of topics and drop-in activities for academic speaking practice.

There is also a summer course (ELL010H1F) available next in May 2015. It is designed for students whose first language is not English as well as native speaker seeking to improve their English communication skills. Students who take this course will have their academic fee of $200 waived upon completion.

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL program)
The TESOL Certificate Program provides a theoretical basis in second language learning and teaching area. Students who are interested in teaching English as a second language in either Canada or abroad can visit the website at http://wdw.utoronto.ca/tesol/.
